About Charlie: Charlie goes by many names – Chuckles, Charizard, Charmander, Charles Xavier, Stinkbreath and Fartface. He’s a Brittany Spaniel (which is similar to an English Springer Spaniel, although the AKC doesn’t consider it a spaniel at all), and he’s almost 5 years old, and weighs 50lb. That’s heavy for a Brittany, but it’s because he comes from a hunting line, which sometimes run larger than a show line.
